South Africa will be moving to level 1 of lockdown on the 21st of September 2020! This is great news for the live music scene (which has been struggling to stay afloat since lockdown was introduced in March 2020).
Here’s the line-up for The Return of Park Acoustics:
The line-up will feature Groothond & Nax aka Van Pletzen, Blues-Rock supergroup The Black Cat Bones, everyone’s sweetheart Pedro Barbosa, Animalistic Pretorians Zebra and P-town disco king DSCO Cam.
Take note that no children between the age 13 and 17 will be allowed at the event. Proof of identification required on request. No copies, photos or temporary documents will be accepted as proof of identity. No glass is allowed into the festival area, so please buy cans or decant your tasty brews and spirits into plastic bottles. Weapons, illegal substances, domestic animals (don’t worry, not you George) and bad vibes are not allowed.
The Return of Park Acoustics is happening at the Voortrekker Monument in the 012. Gates open at 10 AM. The first act starts playing at 11 AM. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, only 500 tickets are available for this event. Tickets will set you back R150 on the Park Acoustics website. Take note that if you bring a cooler box along, there will be a R50 charge (payable at the entrance). Parking costs R15 per vehicle and is payable at the entrance to the Voortrekker Monument Nature Reserve. If you need more info, check out the event page on Facebook.
