Great news! For the second consecutive year, Spotify has joined Rocking the Daisies as the official music streaming partner.
Spotify recently celebrated its one year anniversary in South Africa. Thanks to Spotify, fans have access to a catalogue of over 50 million tracks and over 3 billion playlists. They also have the ability to continuously discover new music.
Last year Rocking the Daisies became the first event in South Africa to implement a playlist generator. They followed in the footsteps of Coachella.
Spotify has again come on board to provide festival-goers with individually curated playlists. The playlist is matched to their listening tastes. It features acts from the festival line-up. If you’re going to Rocking The Diasies, feel free to test it HERE.
Claudius Boller, Spotify MD, Middle East & Africa comments on the partnership
“Spotify immerses itself in the markets and cultures where it is available by curating music specifically tailored to the local audiences. It has been an instrumental vehicle for South African artists to enter an international stage, allowing them to showcase their music to a diverse crowd of more than 232 million monthly active listeners, while introducing global audiences to music and artists they may otherwise not have been able to discover.”
Spotify has launched a Festival Hub
The Festival Hub currently features A Taste of Daisies, an extensive playlist featuring talent from the upcoming CAN DO! Is Rocking the Daisies 2019 festival – perfect to get festive-goers ready for the experience. Keep your eyes peeled for featured playlists from South Africa’s top music festivals in the future.
This is a pretty cool feature. I’m really looking forward to all of South Africa’s festivals making use of this in the future. I hope that the folks from Mieliepop and That 70s Fest are noticing this.
