We’re really happy about the response we have received for Saturday Social Club so far, not only as a brand but as a much-needed platform for South African rock artists,” says Rush Productions MD, Nic Rush. “We have seen the need for good, quality shows and we’ve made the decision to make the next event even more accessible for a wider audience,” adds Nic.

“Saturday Social Club is more than just a show… it’s an experience. The venue is great, the sound and lighting is awesome and the line-ups are always phenomenal. I can’t wait for the next one!” says Kerry-Anne Allerston (from Mix 93.8 FM).

These shows promise to be an amazing music experience in a social, friendly space,” says Nic. “There’s nothing quite like a great rock show and we’re excited to grow this brand and showcase some of the best SA music heavyweights with some of the top up-and-comings.There is no doubt that this series will have something very special and unique to offer fans.”

  1. Because The Narrow only play one show around me every year (We’ve been to a show every year for the past 5 years, and pretty much every show in Jozi since 2004) I’m willing to put my winter (shockingly pale) body into a bikini and take a jog (getting ahead of myself, slow stroll) in the morning chill (up to -1 degrees) down a busy highway. I don’t do cold or bikini’s AT ALL, but for these boys I’d even promise not to drink Tequila!!!! I’d have to this before sunrise/ after sunset, when the sun hits my transparent skin I’ll be blinding the drivers 😉 #fanforlife #ilovelocal

  2. Its not a case of what I”d be willing to do to get tickets, its a case of what I have already done. As a massive fan (got all the original hard copy CDs and the t-shirt, and have photo proof to back up the claim 🙂 ), I had to take the fascination a bit further. I went forth, and recently brought a very very very expensive guitar from Jow Feldtmann, the Narrow’s bassist. Did I need the guitar? Off course not, but did I get Jow’s cellphone number in the process, off course yes! That number is cooler that next weekends lotto numbers! Making use of this number on various occasions already to solicit inside info, I already texted him asking what time they will be jamming on Saturday, where he politely replied. This indicates that the restraining order is not in action just yet…I met Emile too at a guitar workshop end of last year, and shook his hand. Haven’t washed my hand since…Judging by this history, I’d pretty much do anything else as well to get my hands on those tickets! Hanu and the boys hit me for 6 when they blasted on the airways of Tuks FM in the dawn of the new millennium, when I was a mere teenager. Experiencing them more than a decade later at Oppi in 2016 changed me once more! I know Saturday will add to the arsenal memories I cultivate. Please flick me those tickets and I promise to delete Jow’s number 🙂

  3. The very last show I played as a musician, was opening for The Narrow, preceded by Knave, ar the very last Season’s Wither. I would get on stage again in a blink and do that cover with Hanu again, for tickets. There is no band like them. The memories floods in like a nostalgic feast.

  4. Because I worked so hard on my on my charity event and didn’t even get a chance to do anything else – I have thus not even had a chance to breathe and remember that this was happening. This band tho <3 … and I missed them last time they toured :'(

  5. Make a better howling video! Line dance in ‘n goue onderbroek! Cover The Narrow in a Dolly Parton mask! Climb Table mountain barefoot. Get a tattoo of Justin Bieber on my left arse cheek!
