Whether you’re an overworked parent, a college student in over your head in school work, or someone who struggles with a boss you just can’t please, stress affects us in many different ways.
For many, stress causes mental and emotional issues, including moodiness, anxiety, and even depression. Stress can also cause a host of physical health issues, including high blood pressure, headaches, inability to sleep and even heart palpitations.
While you could ask to be given a prescription medication to ease stress, why not try a natural remedy first? CBD may be an effective treatment for reducing stress and anxiety, especially when taken on a consistent basis. Click here and get all the latest details on CBD.
Here’s how CBD can help to minimize the stress you face each day.
What You Need to Know About CBD
CBD, also known as cannabidiol, is oil that is extracted from the hemp or cannabis plant. CBD is one of more than 100 different cannabinoids that are found in the leaves and flowers of these plants.
One of the most common concerns that people have about CBD is if the compound will get them high. Unlike other cannabinoids, such as THC, CBD is completely non-psychoactive. This means you won’t feel “stoned” or altered in any way.
When shopping around for CBD products, you’ll likely notice that some of them contain THC. But, legal CBD products must contain 0.3% or less THC. This is a very small amount that won’t cause any psychoactive effects. The combination of CBD and THC together causes the entourage effect, which can make results even better.
However, CBD does interact with certain receptors in the brain. Because of how it binds with the receptors, it can take longer for you to feel the effects. But, when you do, you’ll feel a sense of calmness and relaxation throughout your body.
Are You Experiencing Stress or Anxiety?
While CBD can help to minimize both stress and anxiety, it’s crucial to understand exactly what you’re experiencing. Many believe that stress and anxiety are the same because they share the same symptoms. But, they’re completely different.
Stress is your body’s natural response to a threat. On the other hand, anxiety is a certain reaction to stress. If you’re dealing with anxiety, you may get the best relief by combining CBD with other medications, supplements, or therapy. This is a discussion to have with a medical professional.
How CBD Lowers Stress Levels
Dealing with stress on a daily basis impacts your mental and physical health, as well as your social life. CBD is a safe, all-natural way to reduce daily stressors so that you can feel great and start living your best life.
CBD works to minimize stress in many different ways. When taken, the cannabinoid interacts with more than 65 areas throughout the body.
Research has found that CBD is able to quell stress and anxiety by boosting neurotransmitter systems as well as neural regeneration. CBD also helps to regulate the endocannabinoid system, which can become imbalanced by chronic stress and anxiety.
For those who suffer from an anxiety disorder, CBD binds to serotonin receptors. After binding to these receptors, CBD calms anxiety just as effectively as a prescription anti-anxiety medication.

CBD Risks& Side Effects
Because CBD is still relatively new, there isn’t a lot of research that has been conducted to determine the long-term health effects of taking CBD. However, as with any supplement, there are some potential risks to be aware of.
Some of the most common side effects linked to CBD include:
1. Drowsiness
2. Fatigue
3. Reduced appetite
4. Dry mouth
While these risks are very minor you want to have a good experience, especially if you’re trying CBD for the first time. Thankfully most of these risks can be easily avoided.
What’s especially important to note is that while CBD does have risks, they are minor when compared to the risks of taking prescription medications, which can cause all sorts of short- and long-term issues.
Tips for an Amazing CBD Experience
The CBD industry isn’t regulated, which opens the door for all sorts of risks, including mislabeling, low quality products, and proper dosage recommendations. But, don’t let the lack of regulation sway you from trying CBD. By taking the right steps, you can avoid these risks and enjoy a stress-free life.
The first thing you’ll want to do when buying a CBD product for the first time is to really take the time to research a few brands. Look at their history in the industry. Determine where their hemp is sourced and how it’s extracted.
As a good starting point, you can begin your search at CBDGrade, which is a site that reviews some of the top names in the CBD industry. Here you’ll find information about well-known brands such as Veritas Farms, Lord Jones, and others.
After researching a brand and narrowing down your options, you’ll want to then:
1. Review customer testimonials
2. Read the ingredients
3. Check the certificate of analysis
Once you’ve found a product, you’ll need to do some trial and error to figure out what dose is best for you. Dosages differ based on body weight and other physiological factors, as well as the type of product you’ve selected.
When dosing, take the time to read the fine print! You need to know exactly what the product contains. For example, maybe you’ve picked up some CBD gummies that have 10mg of CBD each, or maybe you bought a bottle of oil that contains a total of 300mg per bottle.
Avoid the all too common mistake of taking too much CBD too soon. The best way of introducing CBD into your body is to start with a low dosage and slowly increase it. This not only makes it easier to determine the right dose for you, it also minimizes the risk of any negative effects.

You need a prescription from a doctor to buy CBD, right? We discussed with my doctor the option of taking CBD, but I refused it for now. But I think it can be very effective for those who cannot control their stress and anxiety levels.
