Star Wars: The Force Awakens (also referred to as Star Wars Episode 7) will be released on the 18th of December 2015 in the USA (and probably in the rest of the world). The film plays off 30 years after the events that occurred in Star Wars Episode 6, Return of the Jedi.
The upcoming film is co-written and directed by J.J. Abrams (the same guy who brought us the last two Star Trek movies, Alias and Lost) and is one of the most anticipated films of the year. The first teaser trailer for The Force Awakens was released in December 2014 and has already had over 15 million views (on the official Star Wars channel on YouTube).
Great news for Star Wars fans is that the second teaser trailer was released a little over an hour ago and it seems that the internet is having a Geekasm of note, mostly because a little bit more is revealed about the film in the trailer. Check it out below and you’ll see what I mean.
See? This is going to be awesome. I have no doubt about that. The Force Awakens will feature performances by Gwendoline Christie, Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker), Oscar Isaac, Poe Dameron, Harrison Ford (Han Solo), Domhnall Gleeson, Carrie Fisher (Leia), Adam Driver, Warwick Davis, Max von Sydow, Andy Serkis, Lupita Nyong’o and various others. The fact that J.J. Abrams is working the old cast into the new film is just giving me a bigger geekasm.
What are your thoughts about this trailer? Do you give it a thumbs up or a thumbs down? Feedback is appreciated and welcome here.
