Sad news folks. Another international artist is not coming South Africa anymore. This morning Imogen Heap cancelled her Cape Town and Johannesburg shows (which were scheduled for the 15th and 16th of March 2019).
Imogen Heap has issued the following statement about her South African Tour
“I am very disappointed to share with my fans in South Africa that our upcoming concert dates in Cape Town and Johannesburg have had to be cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control.
With this, it means I’m also unable to come and deliver the keynotes, workshops and acoustic evening with the music community, surrounding the future of the music industry. I would especially like to thank Heavy Chef for their incredible work in putting all this together.
I was really looking forward to coming back to South Africa to reconnect with the fans and to work with the music community toward better horizons.
I hope I’ll be able to come in the not so distant future to make it up to everyone”
This is very sad news. Imogen Heap joins Judas Priest and Rudimental on the list of artists who have cancelled South African tours for 2019. Let’s hope that this isn’t the fate of all upcoming international tours to South Africa this year.
