Taxi Violence on stage @ Vredefest April 2012

On the 14th of April (last week Saturday) @lexamantis and I made our way to Arcade Empire in Pretoria East to catch Vredefest. This mini festival / concert that is held in 2 cities in South Africa twice a year has been around for few years now. I still recall attending my first Vredefest back in 2009 in Hatfield Square. This year the April edition of Vredefest was held in Potchefstroom (on the Friday) and Pretoria (on the Saturday). The line-up on Saturday was definitely an epic one, featuring Taxi Violence, Zebra and Giraffe, Moses Metro Man, aKING, Gazelle and Wrestlerish.

Taxi Violence made their way onto the outdoor Arcade Empire stage after aKING on the night and completely blew the Pretoria Faithful away. This Cape Town based band has been making waves in the SA Music industry over the last few years and despite building up a considerable fan base, they’re still one of the most underrated bands in South Africa. These boys can rock, there’s no question about it (and I’m sure that many of you who have seen them live will agree). Their Arcade Empire set was a special one for your’s truly – one of those sets that you don’t really forget. I snapped this photo of Taxi Violence performing at Arcade Empire at Vredefest April 2012 and it has been selected as the Daily Cool Photo on Running Wolf’s Rant for the 20th of April 2012.

Yesterday a photo featuring Dan Patlansky on stage @ Arcade Empire was the Daily Cool Photo on Running Wolf’s Rant, feel free to check it out.  For more photos taken at Vredefest April 2012, check out the Henno Kruger Photography page on Facebook.
