For those of you who did not know, Triumph the Insult Comic dog is a character puppet puppeteered and voiced by Robert Smigel, best known for mocking celebrities. Triumph gained fame on the Late Night Show With Conan O’Brien on the NBC television network in the USA.

Triumph insists that his accent is a “Dog Accent”, although his accent was identified in early appearances as a Yugoslavian Mountain Hound. Triumph the Insult Comic Dog also appeared on The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien from time to time as well as the short lived TV Funhouse and TBS’s Conan. He first made his debut in 1997.
Triumph the Insult Comic Dog has been to some interesting events over the years: The Westminster Dog Show, the Star Wars: Attack of the Clones premiere, a Bon Jovi Concert, the MTV Video Music Awards, the Michael Jackson trial, the 2007 Tony Awards and others.
Triumph is definitely one of the funniest puppets I’ve ever seen on television. He’s become quite a YouTube star of the last few years and racked up millions of views on the video sharing website. His favorite catchphrases are “For Me To Poop On” and “I keed, I keed!”.
