Now this is definitely one of the most original and funny music videos I’ve ever seen. Do You Wanna Date My Avatar features the cast of the popular web series, The Guild. The web series is an independent sitcom about a group of online gamers. This web series started in the late summer of 2007.
The first season was financed solely by Paypal donations from loyal fans. Since season 2, the web series has been distributed by Xbox Live and Microsoft and sponsored by Sprint. Episodes of The Guild are between 3 and 8 minutes long. In 2008 The Guild won various awards, including the SXSW, YouTube and Yahoo Web Series Awards. In 2009, The Guild were awarded 3 Streamy awards, for Best Comedy Web Series, Best Ensemble and Best Actress.
The series features performances by Vincent Caso (Bladezz), Felicia Day (Codex), Jeff Lewis (Vork), Amy Okuda (Tinkerballa), Sandeep Parikh (Zaboo) and Robin Thorsen (Clara). 2 seasons have been broadcast on the web. The good news is that the creators have been given a go-ahead for a 3rd web series.
