Ultra Miami 2013 Aftermovie

So what is Ultra Miami 2013? Well, Ultra Music Festival is an annual outdoor electronic music festival that is held March every year in Miami, Florida in the USA. This year was the 15th time that this festival was held. It took place over two consecutive weekends (from the 15th to the 17th of March and from the 22nd to the 24th of March). Both of these weekends coincided with the beginning and end of Miami Music Week and the Winter Music Conference.

Ultra Miami 2013 featured appearances by David Guetta, Deadmau5, Tiësto, Swedish House Mafia, Porter Robinson, Madeon, Hardwell, Pretty Lights, DJ Futtize and a long list of other DJs and artists. 330,000 people attended the festival over both weekends. The festival attracts visitors from throughout the world. If you check out the official Ultra Miami 2013 aftermovie (which was released on the 3rd of September) below you’ll see a few South Africans holding up flags in the crowd.

I’m not a huge fan of electronic music, but this looks amazing. I’m tempted to check this out one year. In case you were wondering the 16th Ultra Music festival will be held from the 28th of March to the 30th of March 2014. Pre-sale tickets already sold out in one day in May 2013. Due to the impact that’s felt by the city of Miami during the festival the next one will only be held over a single weekend.

I guess that I’ll have to add Ultra Miami on my list of festivals that I want to check out abroad. It seems that my list is not getting shorter any time soon.
