The Walking Dead airs on DSTV (on the Fox Africa channel) in South Africa. The show is already in its fourth season and has gained tons of fans around the world. The Walking Dead is jam-packed with suspense and plot twists, not too mention the realistic zombies that horror fans have all come to adore over the last few years. The internet has also embraced the show and it’s not uncommon to find The Walking Dead Memes on websites like 9Gag, The Meta Picture or The Chive.
I have to admit that I’m not a huge fan of horror movies and television shows, but I do love a good prank. The folks at Fox Africa decided that it was a good idea to hook up an iPad with Facetime and mounted onto a guy dressed and made up like a zombie from the show. The response from the office workers (presumably in Johannesburg) was pretty insane when this “zombie” showed up in their building. Check out the video below to see what happened.
To be honest, I think I would be scared shit-less if a guy like this walked into my office building. But I have to admit that I’d probably be very skeptical at the same time because I am pretty sure that zombies don’t exist (not yet anyway). What do you think of this campaign?
