There has been talk about a Warcraft movie for some time, but it looks like it’s FINALLY coming out in 2016. Warcraft: The Beginning is scheduled for release on the 10th of June in the USA next year.
The film is co-written and directed by Duncan Jones (who also directed 2011’s Source Code and 2009’s Moon). The film will feature appearances by Travis Fimmel (who you might know from television’s Vikings), Paula Patton (who also appeared in Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol), Ben Foster, Dominic Cooper (the guy who plays Howard Stark on Marvel’s Agent Carter), Toby Kebbell, Ben Schnetzer, Robert Kazinsky, Daniel Wu, Ruth Negga, Anna Galvin and Clancy Brown (a veteran actor that has lend his voice to numerous cartoons and appeared in tons of TV series over the years).
Warcraft: The Beginning tells the origin story of the initial encounters between the humans and the orcs, with an emphasis upon both sides of the conflict and will take audiences to a variety of locations established in the video game series.
I’ve spent more than 3 years of my life in Azeroth (thanks to World of Warcraft) and I’m really looking forward to this one. The trailer was released yesterday and I can only describe it with one word: “Amazing”. Check it out below if you don’t believe me.
So, what do you think of the trailer? Are you excited to see the film? I definitely am and I’m pretty sure that most of you who saw it are probably feeling the same way. Leave a comment and let me know what you think, feedback is appreciated.
