Are you interested in decorating your space in an incredibly stylish and elegant way? If yes, then you can add a Western touch to your interior décor. Western-style décor has had an uptick popularity in recent years.
The biggest advantage of Western décor is it cozy up any space and it is affordable. It adds color and texture to your interior and makes your space homey.
Here are some popular Western style interior design ideas
1. Use an Accent Wall
If you want to decorate your space in a Western style, you do not have to make changes to the whole space. You can simply decorate space using an accent wall. The accent wall is suitable for the wall behind the big couch or fireplace.
You can select a large, Western-style piece. You can hang photos or Western wall art pieces. If you are willing then it can also be an animal artifact. You can also flank the larger art pieces with smaller ones to complement them.
2. Use Vibrant Colors
You can use a color palette to choose warm and vibrant colors to cozy up your space. It also adds a real and Western feel to your interiors.
The colors such as deep brown, sandy warm, some greens, bright reds or pink, or sky blues add a natural touch to your space. For your son or daughter’s room, you can choose shades of blue, pink, yellow, purple, and other bright colors to bring in the joy and beauty. For instance, a Hello Kitty room is a great idea for your daughter’s room. You can also choose a pink and white theme if she likes it.
The genuine leather, stone, wood, and wrought iron will work since the theme of the room relates more to different colors than the components. With these warm colors on the wall, decorating the interiors with furniture and accents can be fun.
You can also hang a rustic chandelier, scatter some animal artifacts in the room, and a beautiful cowhide rug to give a Western touch.
3. Use a lot of Wood
Wood is the traditional way in Western style interior decoration of your space. A room with wooden accents will look both cozy and rusty at the same time.
If you add lots of wood to your space, your room will look darker. So, you should add accent pieces to your space. For this theme to work, add wooden flooring, wooden doors, cabinets, and a lot of wooden furniture.
Then, place some cozy cowhide rugs in front of the fireplace. The cowhide rug alone adds Western touch and it will work fine without being overwhelming.
4. Stick to an Animal Theme
Some Western interior decor will include sticking to one animal and using the accents from that animal to complement it. It can be very easy, for example; with horses, you can buy leather couches with horse pictures on them. These couches are a mix of leather and cloth.
Tie the room with pictures and horse accents scattered everywhere in the room.
If you are intended towards cows, then introduce a heavy cowhide rug beneath a rustic coffee table. With this theme, you are free to add whatever sofas you like.
Final Words
Western Room design creates a clean, fresh look with the complementing use of dark wood finished materials and pale flooring and walls. It will add elegance and trend to your space and give you a lively feel.
