What’s coming to Netflix in May 2019?

Start stocking up on snacks and brace yourselves! There’s some really great content coming your way in May 2019 on Netflix.

The streaming giant released figures in April. Netflix now has 148.8 million subscribers globally and 60.2 million in the USA alone. They added a record 9.6 million new subscribers in the first quarter of 2019. If you ask me, the main reason for this the variety of content that’s been available over the last few months.


Here’s what you can look forward to on Netflix in May 2019

House of Cards: Season 6 – Netflix Original Series

With Frank out of the picture, Claire Underwood steps fully into her own as the first woman president, but faces formidable threats to her legacy. This season is available on Netflix from today.

Dead to Me Netflix Original Series

A dark single camera comedy about a powerful friendship that blossoms between a tightly wound widow and a free spirit with a shocking secret. Dead to Me starts on the 3rd of May.

Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile – A Netflix Original Film

A chronicle of the crimes of Ted Bundy from the perspective of Liz, his longtime girlfriend, who refused to believe the truth about him for years. This film stars Zac Efron in the leading role and will also be available to stream on the 3rd of May.

Lucifer: Season 4 – A Netflix Original Series

As Chloe struggles to come to terms with Lucifer’s disturbing revelation, a rogue priest sets out to stop a long-rumored prophecy. Netflix picked up Lucifer after the series was cancelled by Fox. Season 4 will be available on Netflix on the 8th of May 2019.

The Rain: Season 2 – A Netflix Original Series

I thoroughly enjoyed the first season of this Danish Netflix Original. Trapped in the Zone, Simone and her friends must find a cure for the virus Rasmus is carrying before it kills him — and the rest of humanity. Season 2 starts on the 17th of May 2019.

1994: Limited Series – A Netflix Original Documentary

1994 is an hour-long 5 episode investigative documentary series that will tell the story of one of the most critical years in Mexico’s history. This series will be available to stream on the 17th of May 2019.

Historical Roasts Series – A Netflix Original Comedy Special

From the King of the Roast Jeff Ross, a series of roasts is coming your way featuring famous historical figures (played by modern day comedians). You can stream this comedy special on the 27th of May 2019.

Killer Ratings – A Netflix Original Documentary

The true-life story of a Brazilian TV host who literally killed for ratings and used his crime TV show to cover up the grizzly truth. This documentary will be available to stream on Netflix on the 31st of May 2019.
