The Chair Company S1

After a spectacularly awkward incident at work, William Ronald Trosper stumbles into an investigation far bigger than he ever expected.
Tim Robinson, the triple Emmy winner behind I Think You Should Leave, co-creates and stars as Trosper.
The HBO comedy has become a phenomenon: it’s sitting at #3 on Rotten Tomatoes’ Best Shows of 2025 list with a flawless 100% critics’ score. Publications are throwing praise like confetti – The Guardian calls it “an office rage comedy packed with massive, stupid laughs,” The New York Times says it’s “absurdly funny,” and TV Guide goes straight for “the funniest show of the year.”
It’s already renewed for Season 2 after becoming HBO’s biggest freshman comedy ever, averaging 3.3 million U.S. viewers across platforms.

Bonko Khoza shines in a dual role as twins Banele and Sanele – brothers bound by blood, but separated by morality. One walks in light, the other in darkness, yet their connection is unbreakable.
Set in the dangerous world of KwaZulu-Natal’s construction mafias, this Mzansi Magic daily drama comes from Tshedza Pictures, the powerhouse behind Youngins, Adulting, Outlaws, and The River.
The series earned multiple National Film and Television Awards nominations, including Best Actor (Khoza), Best Actress (Nelisiwe Sibiya) and Best Scripted Series.

Tiffany Haddish Goes Off

This six-part docuseries follows superstar Tiffany Haddish and her three closest childhood friends on a four-week journey across Africa, exploring identity, heritage, and friendship.
Variety notes that the series works because it’s grounded in real connection, saying it’s what The Real Housewives would be “if the cast were actually friends.”
Expect travel through Cape Town, Victoria Falls and Zanzibar.

Masinga – The Calling

Exiled detective Masinga returns home to confront old ghosts: the trauma of his albino brother’s ritual murder, the weight of his past, and a new case involving a kidnapped Asian girl.
The film stars SAFTA winner Hakeem Kae-Kazim, supported by a stacked lineup including Shamilla Miller, Abdul Khoza, Fana Mokoena, Warren Masemola, Brandon Auret, Sean Cameron Michael and Mbuso Khoza (who won Best Supporting Actor at the 2025 Simon Mabhunu Sabela Awards).
Shot in KwaZulu-Natal and London, the film won Best Director and Best Screenplay at both the Sabela Awards and the Palermo Independent International Film Festival.

Marc Maron returns to HBO with a new special that slices into the anxiety of modern life with his trademark mix of raw honesty and razor-sharp wit.
Maron, host of the globally popular WTF podcast, has over 50 million annual listeners and more than 1,600 episodes behind him. He’s been nominated for Critics’ Choice, SAG and WGA awards, and his previous special From Bleak to Dark is also on Showmax.

Starring screen legend Lida Botha (Die Kantoor) as Elsabe, alongside Silwerskerm winner Jacques Bessenger (Koek, Donkerbos) as her son. SAFTA winner June van Merch, Susanne Beyers, and Theresa Sedras round out the supporting cast.
Directed by rising filmmaker Jordy Sank under Sanktuary Films, the kykNET production set a new benchmark as the most successful local Afrikaans film at the box office since the COVID pandemic, winning several awards, including the Audience Prize at Silwerskerm.

The Swarts family is back in Diepe Waters, managing their Swartmarlyne swimming club and training the next generation of Olympic hopefuls.
