Capital Craft Beer Festival is one of those must-attend events in the capital city. The 2019 edition will be held at the National Botanical Gardens in Pretoria on the 15th of June 2019.
What can you expect at the 2019 edition of Capital Craft Beer Festival?
The National Botanical gardens is a beautiful venue with safe parking. It’s a great opportunity to meet the brewers of your favourite craft beer and make friends. There will more than 40 brewers and more than 200 beers on tap. Capital Craft 2019 will also have drinks for non beer drinks. There will also be non alcoholic drinks available for designated drivers.
Besides this, there will also be live music from SA’s top artists on 3 stages. There will also be more than 20 food stalls, educational stalls and a kids area. Punters will also be able to enjoy 2 Live Super Rugby matches on a big screen.
Gauteng folk who don’t live in Pretoria can make use of organised free bus service from Hatfield Gautrain station to the venue. It will be running all day. Punters will also be able to make use of promo codes for Taxify and Uber. Promo codes will be announced on the Facebook event page closer to the time.
Which live music acts and comedians will be at the 2019 edition of Capital Craft Beer Festival?
Great news it that 4 of the biggest names in SA Music will be making their way to the festival: Mango Groove, Fokofpolisiekar, The Black Cat Bones and Koos Kombuis. The Muffinz, Bad Peter, Nick Hamman, Deon Bakkes and the Stolen Horses, Little Ringo, The Honeymooners, and Zebra are also on the line-up for the festival.
You can expect stand-up sets / comedic entertainment from Casper de Vries, Schalk Bezuidenhout, Joey Rasdien, Lihle Msimang, Chris Forrest, Alfred Adriaan, Hannes Brümmer, Robby Collins, Nqoba “King Nqoba” Ngcobo, Thabiso Mhlongo, Claudine Ulman and Richleua Beaunoir.
Capital Craft 2019 Ticketing Information
All tickets include a branded beer mug with a festival brochure. Early Bird Phase Two tickets are still available for R140. When they’ve sold out General Access Online tickets will set you back R160. Tickets at the gate will set you back R200. Safe parking will be available for R20 per car.
The Clamber Club will be available for 2-12 year olds. Regretably no kids between 13 and 17 years of age are allowed at the festival.
Info about the Clamber Club for 2-12 year olds
Clamber Club is an extensive and exciting sensory motor programme that gets children moving, promoting fitness, health and learning. The organisers know that children learn best when they’re enjoying themselves.
There will be a Clamber Club Obstacle Course and colourful equipment will be set-up at the Capital Craft Beer Festival Kiddies Entertainment area this year. This is a safe, fun and active place for your kids to enjoy the outing.
The obstacle course is unique and the team of entertainers and mascot, Jog the Frog are trained to keep your children active and happy as they tumble, roll, jump, climb and jog. There will be various group games throughout the day and offer creative up-cycled creations, colouring inn, painting and a chill corner with DVDs. There will also be a surprise live performance by musicians who are performing at the festival.
Take note that The Clamber Club is compulsory for all kids aged between 2 and 12 years old that are attending the festival. Tickets for the Clamber Club cost R100 (excluding lunch) or
R130 (including lunch).
