Great news! British Alternative Rock band Wolf Alice have been confirmed for Rocking The Daisies 2018!
Wolf Alice hail from North London in the UK and have been around since 2010. They released their official debut single “Fluffy” in February 2013, and the single “Bros” followed in May of that year.
The band’s current members are Ellie Rowsell, Joel Amey, Joff Oddie and Theo Ellis. The band started out as an acoustic duo comprised of Rowsell and Oddie. Wolf Alice has been described by some as “the lovechild of folk and grunge”.
In October 2013 they released their official debut EP Blush. Their second official EP Creature Songs was released in May 2014. In February 2015 they released the lead single “Giant Peach” from their debut album My Love Is Cool, which was released in the UK and USA in June 2015.
Their single “Moaning Lisa Smile” peaked at No. 9 on Billboard‘s Alternative Songs chart in August 2015 and was nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Rock Performance for the 2016 Grammys.
Wolf Alice released their second studio album, Visions of a Life in September 2017. They album made its debut at number two on the UK Albums Chart. It sold over 19,000 copies in its first week of release in the UK. The band have been touring throughout 2018 and has been supporting Foo Fighters and Queens of the Stone Age on their tours.
So save the date, Wolf Alice will be making their way to Rocking The Daises 2018 (which is happening at Cloof Wine Estate outside Darling in the Western Cape) between the 5th and the 7th of October.
