It’s that time of the decade again. Gaming giant Blizzard announced a release date for the World of Warcraft: Cataclysm Expansion last week. Cataclysm will be released on the 7th of December 2010. I must admit that I have not been playing World of Warcraft for the past few months, due to a lack of new content in the game and general lost of interest and boredom with the game. But, I’m definately pre-ordering Cataclysm at the end of this month. The whole world is going to be revamped and you’ll be able to level your character up to level 85. 2 new races will also be added (Worgen on the Alliance side and Goblins on the Horde side).
The bottom line is, I can’t wait to level another character in the game. I’m sure that I will not be exposed to the infamous “Barrens chat” scenario whilst leveling my new Horde character. The Barrens is one of the zones that will be one of many zones that are going to be completely revamped in the Expansion. Levelling is bound to be a brand new experience. Blizzard have released Patch 4.0.1. to prepare WoW addicts for the upcoming expansion. Lots of changes have been made. I have not checked this out yet since I’m still recovering after downloading the 5.29 Gb patch (the largest World of Warcraft patch to date) and my account is still inactive at this stage. But I will be checking it out at end of this month. I’m really looking forward to this Expansion. Cataclysm promises to be one of the best games of the year and is bound to break sales records. Let’s hope it lives up to expectations.
