In case you did not know, Robbie Williams played two shows in Pretoria over the weekend and I was one of the lucky (and fortunate) photographers to snap some of photos at the one of the shows.
Here’s my 2 cents on Robbie Williams @ SunBet Arena (in Pretoria)
I’ll be honest, I’m not the biggest pop fan out there, but you’ve got to hand it to Robbie Williams – he’s accomplished a ton over the years. Back in 1997, he dropped a track called “Let Me Entertain You,” and funnily enough, that’s exactly how he kicked off his set.
Right from the start, you could tell this was going to be something special. The lighting, production, and sound were absolutely top-tier, and the choreography? Seriously impressive. I was blown away from the get-go.
Robbie Williams is a master at entertaining. I didn’t catch the whole show, but I was there long enough to see just how effortlessly he connects with his audience.
There were 8,500 people packed into the SunBet Arena, yet it somehow felt like I was having a casual chat with him in my own living room. It was something special.
Kudos to Big Concerts for bringing this legend and other legendary bands like Green Day & The Offspring to South Africa. Keep on bringing great acts like this over please.
