9. Simon Neil is the primary songwriter for the band and is known for his introspective and often personal lyrics.

10. Simon Neil has a degree in graphic design and has designed the artwork for many of the band’s albums.

11.  The band’s song “Captain” was inspired by Neil’s experience of feeling isolated and disconnected from the world, and the lyrics explore themes of loneliness and isolation. The song has been covered by a number of other artists, including the British indie rock band Bombay Bicycle Club.

12. The lyrics of their track “Mountains” explore themes of struggle, perseverance, and overcoming obstacles. According to Simon Neil, the song is about the challenges and hardships that people face in life, and the importance of persevering through them. The lyrics refer to mountains as a metaphor for these challenges, and the chorus repeats the phrase “I will conquer them.”

The song also touches on the theme of self-discovery and the process of finding one’s place in the world. The lyrics include lines such as “I’m finding my way, and I’m learning to fly” and “I’ll climb to the top and I’ll stand on the peak.” These lines suggest that the song is about the journey of self-discovery and the overcoming of personal challenges.

The song also touches on the theme of the struggle to break free from an addiction, with lines such as “I am trying to shake it off” and “I am trying to break free.” These lines suggest that the song is about the struggle to overcome an addiction and the determination to break free from its hold.
