More info about Thomas Edison
Thomas Edison was born in 1847 in Milan, Ohio in the USA. This American inventor, scientist and businessman developed many devices that greatly influenced life around the world. He’s the greatest inventor who ever lived in my opinion.
Thomas Edison registered 1,093 US patents in his lifetime. He also holds numerous patents in France and the United Kingdom. Edison is credited with numerous inventions which contributed to mass communication and telecommunications.
Thomas Edison invented the phonograph, and alkaline storage battery to name just a few things. He perfected the concept of the electric lightbulb. He originated the concept and implementation of electric-power generation and distribution to homes, businesses, and factories.
This was a crucial development in the modern industrialized world and laid a foundation for the modern electric age. We take electricity and some of the modern luxuries for granted nowadays. The world would probably be a completely different place without Thomas Edison’s contributions.
