6. He is the first artist to have ten consecutive albums debut at number one on the Billboard 200 chart.

7. He has won an Academy Award for Best Original Song for “Lose Yourself” from the film 8 Mile, in which he also starred.

8. Throughout his career, he has received 15 Grammy Awards, including Best Rap Album for The Slim Shady LP, The Marshall Mathers LP, and The Eminem Show.

9. In July 2024, Eminem released his 12th studio album, The Death of Slim Shady, featuring collaborations with artists like Jelly Roll and Big Sean. The album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart.

10. Eminem has three daughters: Hailie Jade Mathers, Alaina Marie Scott, and Stevie Laine Mathers. He has expressed deep love and pride for his daughters, crediting them with helping him in his journey to sobriety.

11. In 2022, Eminem was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, solidifying his impact on the music industry.

12. He co-founded Shady Records, which has signed artists like 50 Cent and Obie Trice.

13. His mother, Debbie Nelson, passed away on December 2, 2024, from lung cancer at the age of 69.

14. “Kim”  is often cited as one of Eminem’s most disturbing tracks. It graphically depicts a violent confrontation between Eminem and his ex-wife, Kim, culminating in the murder of Kim, her lover, and the lover’s son. The song’s violent imagery and misogyny have been widely condemned.

15. “Guilty Conscience” features a narrative where Eminem and Dr. Dre play devil and angel, respectively, advising a character on whether to commit a crime. The lyrics include explicit language and references to underage girls, leading to criticism for its graphic content.

16. Eminem’s publisher, Eight Mile Style, sued Spotify for streaming his music without proper licensing. Although Spotify was found to have streamed the music without a license, the court ruled in their favour due to Eight Mile’s handling of the situation.

17. In 2007, Eminem’s company sued Apple for copyright violations related to digital downloads. The case was settled for an undisclosed amount.

18. Eminem’s lyrics have been cited in legal cases involving online threats, with the Supreme Court referencing his work to illustrate the distinction between artistic expression and actual threats.

19. Donald Trump’s lawyers referenced Eminem’s lyrics in a lawsuit related to the Capitol riots, arguing that provocative language can be protected as artistic expression.

20. Many of Eminem’s songs have been edited for radio play to remove explicit language, violence, and other sensitive content. For example, the clean versions of songs like “The Real Slim Shady” were still deemed too obscene by the FCC, leading to fines for radio stations that played them.

21.  Lyrics considered too offensive are often bleeped or omitted in official releases. For instance, in “Criminal,” the line referencing a racial slur was censored.

22. In some cases, Eminem has chosen to censor himself to avoid legal issues or out of respect for individuals. For example, a line referencing Beyoncé was bleeped in “No Apologies” likely due to respect for Jay-Z.

23. He holds the record for the fastest rap in a hit single with “Godzilla,” where he raps 225 words in 30 seconds, averaging 7.5 words per second.

24. His song “Rap God” contains 1,560 words in 6 minutes and 4 seconds, averaging 4.28 words per second.

25. He has used 8,818 unique words in his lyrics, the largest vocabulary among recording artists.
