Following a sold-out debut in Cape Town, Piano People is returning to South Africa this summer with its biggest edition yet. For the first time, the globally renowned Amapiano event brand will host shows in both Johannesburg and Cape Town.

The Johannesburg debut takes place at Old Park Station on 28 November 2026, before the festival returns to Cabo Beach in Cape Town on 30 December 2026, building on the success of last year’s sold-out event.

Widely recognised as the world’s leading Amapiano event brand, Piano People has evolved from a single stage at Afro Nation into a global phenomenon, hosting sold-out events in cities including London and New York while showcasing South African music to audiences around the world.

Last summer’s Cape Town debut proved to be one of the season’s defining events, featuring an exclusive two-hour set from Scorpion Kings and a surprise appearance by Tyla.

The event generated millions of social media views and cemented Piano People’s reputation for delivering unforgettable live experiences.

So, who are the headliners this year?

Great news is that Uncle Waffles will be headlining Piano People in Johannesburg on the 28th of November and that Scorpion Kings will be headlining Piano People in Cape Town on the 30th of December.

Uncle Waffles is a South African DJ, producer and Amapiano star who has become one of the genre’s biggest global success stories.

Born Lungelihle Zwane, she rose to international fame in 2021 after a viral performance captivated millions online. Since then, she has toured worldwide, collaborated with leading artists, and released hit projects including Asylum, SOLACE and Red Dragon, cementing her status as one of Africa’s most influential electronic music artists.
