Let’s face it folks, there have been tons of insults in movies and they’ve made us laugh and cringe over the years. The film that contains some of the greatest movie insults of all time for me is probably the 1987 war film Full Metal Jacket – I’m pretty sure that many of you will agree with me about that.
The sergeant in that film gives the troops a really hard time during their military training. I particularly remember one line that goes something like “I’ll gauge out your eyeballs and skull-fuck you”. In the context that he said those words, it was pretty damn funny. If someone told me that in real life I would probably not be laughing at all, but it’s still one of the greatest movie insults of all time.
I was playing around on YouTube tonight and I found a clip containing the 100 greatest movie insults of all time. Coincidentally it’s 10 minutes of clips from tons of films that I’ve come to love over the years. It’s bloody hilarious and brings back some memories for me.
