At the 2023 Grammy Awards in LA, music’s leading divas – Taylor Swift, Beyonce, Adele, and Jennifer Lopez – set the fashion bar high on the red carpet. Swift shimmered in a Roberto Cavalli blue and silver ensemble, while Beyonce sparkled in a Gucci silver and cream strapless gown with gloves.

Adele chose a Louis Vuitton burgundy velvet dress, and Lopez turned heads in a fringe-accented Gucci blue gown with sleeves. During the awards, Beyonce emotionally thanked Jay-Z, her kids, and her deceased gay uncle, as she made history with the most wins ever.

Zakes Bantwini, Wouter Kellerman and Nomcebo Zikode (from South Africa) are officially Grammy Award winners. The trio won the award for the Best Global Music Performance in the Global Music category. This is Kellerman’s second Grammy award and both Zakes Bantwini’s and Zikode’s first.

Trevor Noah hosted the 2023 Grammy Awards for the third year and shared his thoughts on the experience. He said that hosting a live award show can be overwhelming, but it’s amazing to see some of the greatest talents of the generation performing live in front of you. He referred to it as a “live volcano that’s erupting in front of our eyes, and it’s beautiful to be a part of.”

The 2023 Grammy Awards were filled with celebratory energy as LL Cool J led a joyful medley to mark the 50th anniversary of Hip-Hop. Questlove curated a selection of the greatest rap artists, featuring legends from the genre’s Golden Era, the 90s, and some of today’s rising stars. LL acknowledged the disappointment over the absence of some artists, stating “We wish we could have included everyone,” but promised that there will be more opportunities to showcase them in the future.
