South African twin duo SaxbyTwins have officially returned with their brand-new, feel-good single titled “This Party”. Serving as an upbeat preview to their upcoming debut EP, It Started Like This – slated for release on 30 October 2026 – the guitar-driven pop anthem celebrates youthful freedom, love, and unforgettable nights.
SaxbyTwins are Returning to their Pop Roots
For identical twin brothers Kyle Saxby and Wayde Saxby, the release marks a deliberate return to their energetic, hook-driven pop roots following recent explorations into a folk-pop sound.
Driven by big drums, vibrant guitars, and an infectious melody, “This Party” captures a story steeped in nostalgia. The lyrics reflect on memorable moments shared in one’s twenties, celebrating the feeling of looking back on a chapter of life where everything seemed possible.
The duo’s rise began in 2020 when an early version of their track “(I Think I’m) Falling For You” sparked a viral dance trend on TikTok. After releasing a polished version in 2022, the song topped South Africa’s Spotify Viral Top 50 chart. Rather than relying solely on a viral moment, Kyle Saxby and Wayde Saxby have dedicated themselves to building a sustainable independent career.
Between balancing full-time jobs and training for the Mossel Bay 70.3 in November and the 2027 Full Ironman, the SaxbyTwins spend their evenings writing and refining demos.
Recorded at High Seas Studios with Jacques du Plessis and mastered by Rogan Kelsey, “This Party” brings together the brothers’ shared creative vision and resilience as independent artists.
Whether enjoyed on a road trip, played on the radio, or sung live in front of a crowd, the single stands as a vibrant invitation to embrace the present and hold onto lasting memories.
