He decides on ditching everything and hitchhiking North all the way to Alaska. Not only does he leave it at a planning phase but he actually executes the plan as well. Even though his name is Christopher McCandless, he gives himself the name of Alexander Supertramp and he has amazing experiences while he is on his journey.
The movie shows his journey not only to Alaska but also how he discovers himself in the process and the type of people he meets on the way. The movie is certainly the kind that everyone needs to watch at least once in their lives.
2. The Pursuit of Happiness
What could one person’s breaking point be? How far would you go to make sure that you provide well for your family and want to see them happy?
The Pursuit of Happiness is a true story about a man named Chris Gardner who suffered a lot in the sense that he had no money to provide for his family and he was in a constant struggle to look for a stable job.
Chris has to go through a lot in his life to the point that he is left homeless with his toddler and he has to live on the streets until he can figure something out for himself and his son.
In the end, Chris finally finds a way for himself and his son and the movie has one of the most emotional endings in cinematic history.
Will Smith has done a wonderful job to bring Chris Gardner’s role to life. If you feel like you are going through a time where nothing makes sense at all, then this is the kind of movie that you need to watch so that you would see that the grass is greener on the other side.
3. Dead Poets Society
Everyone always has that one teacher that leaves an impact on their lives. Dead Poets Society also has a similar story in which there are students at a boarding school who have the privilege of having a substitute teacher who changes their lives entirely.
He motivates his students to live their lives to the fullest and to never leave an opportunity where they could change their lives. The role of the teacher (John Keating) was played by Robin Williams and it is one of his best roles of all time.
If you feel like you are going about your life aimlessly, then Dead Poets Society is the kind of movie that you really need to watch. It would give you a perspective on your life as well and you would see that life really isn’t as hard as you make it to be.
4. Never Back Down
Do you feel like you need to be motivated from a body perspective as well? Do you want the kind of motivation that would push you into improving your body from a muscular perspective?
If that is the case then you would definitely have to watch Never Back Down (which is all about Mixed Martial Arts).
The movie also goes on to show you that you can always control the outcome and you should always keep your anger at bay. The movie shows a boy named Jake Tyler who has anger management issues and he gets involved in Mixed Martial Arts which is a popular sport in the area where he lives.
Jake has to make a lot of choices, even when he is told not to fight outside the gym but his anger management issues get the best of him. However, Jake eventually figures out that he has to fight his battles himself and that is exactly what he does.
