Rooted in Culture, Driven by Passion
“Hamba Nawe” was recorded and produced in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, and introduces Apples’ distinct sound—a fusion of modern Afropop and soulful melodies grounded in her cultural identity. With this single, Apples not only showcases her vocal talent but also makes a confident entrance into the South African music scene, collaborating with the seasoned DJ Morgan to bring her vision to life.
The track’s title, which translates to “Go With You,” explores themes of love, trust, and togetherness, wrapped in a production that’s as catchy as it is heartfelt.
Apples: From International Model to Musical Force
Before music, Apples made her name in the fashion and beauty industries. A successful model and pageant titleholder, she graced magazine covers and quickly rose to prominence after completing training at SA Beauty Academy. Her accolades include:
- Top Model North Coast
- Mrs. Queen of South Africa
- Gold medalist and 1st runner-up at iPOP (International Presentation of Performers) in Los Angeles
While performing in LA, Apples was cast as the lead in a showcase production, capturing the attention of global scouts for her multifaceted talent in acting, modeling, and music. This recognition led her to collaborate with Indasoul Entertainment, where her transformation from model to recording artist took root.
Her time in Los Angeles also saw her recording two songs and music videos, laying the groundwork for what would become a meaningful evolution into music—a passion she reignited at age 30 with clarity and purpose.
A Debut Fueled by Resilience and Creative Vision
More than just a debut single, “Hamba Nawe” represents a turning point in Apples’ artistic journey—proof that reinvention is possible at any stage of life. Balancing her life between South Africa and Los Angeles, she now brings a global perspective to her music, underpinned by deeply personal storytelling and a dynamic sound.
“It’s never too late to become who you might have been,” says Apples, reflecting on the courage it took to step into a new creative chapter.
With 2025 shaping up to be a breakthrough year, Apples is set to make her mark as one of the most exciting new voices in South African Afropop.
