When the visor drops and the red lights fade, the world disappears. For 16-year-old Chloe Stuart, that fleeting moment between silence and speed is where she feels most alive.
Chloe isn’t just another aspiring driver. The Gauteng-born racer made history as the youngest female ever to win a Formula Vee title – and the first woman in over 50 years to achieve this milestone.

A Passion Fueled from Childhood
Her love for racing started long before she could reach the pedals. At just 18 months old, Chloe swapped dolls for a battery-powered car. By age seven, she was karting, encouraged by her father, Barry, a former endurance kart racer.
She began her competitive journey in the SSS Prokart Midgets, progressing through the F200 and F300 classes. In 2022, Chloe finished third in the F300 Championship before moving up to Formula M.
There, she won the Class C Championship, topped the Index of Performance, and earned the title of Formula M Driver of the Year. A year later, she showcased her skill in challenging conditions, winning the Libre Invitational in Cape Town during a wet, demanding race.
Breaking Barriers in Formula Vee
Chloe then made the leap to the Formula Vee Championship, trading karts for a single-seater built for wheel-to-wheel racing. Facing faster cars, tighter competition, and no room for error, she was both the youngest driver and the only woman in the field. She adapted quickly, finishing her debut season as Rookie Champion.
Her momentum continued internationally, representing South Africa at the Tillotson T4 Nations Cup in Spain and competing in the KZ2 Shifter Kart series. In 2025, she joined Pablo Clark Racing as a development driver in a BMW E46 330i.
Chloe Stuart is the First Woman to Win a BMW M-Performance Race
Success followed fast. In 2025, Chloe became the first woman to win a BMW M-Performance race in Class F and earned a promotion to Class E.
This year, she’s racing in Class D of the BMW M-Performance NA Cup, drawing attention from fans and teams alike. Supported by Pablo Clark Racing, Easy Equities, Autozone, LMS Electrical Contractors, Basically Branding, and other sponsors, Chloe has become a familiar face at motorsport events and exhibitions.

Life Beyond the Track
Off the track, Chloe maintains peak fitness through CrossFit and holds a brown belt in Karate. She meticulously studies telemetry data, race footage, and technical performance with her team—analyzing everything from tyre wear to aerodynamics.
Chloe also connects with her fans online, sharing behind-the-scenes access to race-day prep, track walks, gym sessions, and debriefs with her engineers via Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram.
Entrepreneurial Ambitions
Chloe’s ambition stretches beyond racing. This year, she plans to launch Racer Girl, her first fragrance, and is building Classic Cars by Chloe, a project focused on restoring vintage vehicles with a skilled team.
Her current focus is mastering Class D in the BMW M-Performance NA Cup while gaining experience to compete internationally. Though still early in her career, Chloe Stuart is already steering South African motorsport into a new era.
