Great news! KZN-based sensation Cantrel releases his brand new single ‘Panic’ to radio this week. Cantrel is Neil Breytenbach (from Prime Circle) and ‘Panic’ (the single) features local rapper Velosity and vocalist Lauren Laing. The single was mixed and mastered in Germany, and the Alternative Electronic Pop song is a powerful release from the local star and grabs the listener from the first few seconds, turning them into a fan by the end of the song.

“’Panic’ was tracked at my Studio in KZN and I did all Beats, programming, instrumentation, composing, Producing and engineering. Whilst involving New Rap Sensation Velosity, I painted a vivid story board for him on the direction of the song. Velosity added his lyrical flavor & flo on the verses. The Verse of the Song relates directly more to the Panic & Anxiety of everyday life and the music Industry, and the Chorus has more of an uplifting happy feel good vibe to it. Hope you enjoy it!!!” explains Cantrel.

Cantrel has been writing songs on a single-by-single basis and live shows will commence from 2017 once the complete album has been recorded. Have a listen to ‘Panic’ below:

I have to admit that it’s not really my cup of tea, but it’s a bloody catchy tune and it’s well produced. What are your thoughts?
