Emerging artist NIDZ is set to make waves with his debut single, “Higher Ground”—a captivating fusion of Afrobeat and Afrotech that promises to connect with music lovers worldwide.

With its infectious energy and heartfelt lyrics, “Higher Ground” captures the exhilaration of the honeymoon phase in a relationship, where passion burns bright and everything feels fresh and exciting.

Crafted by producer Kurt Herman and songwriter/vocal coach Tima Reece of Bluberry Entertainment, the track is the result of months of dedication and artistic growth. “Releasing my debut song with such an incredible team behind me feels almost surreal,” says NIDZ. “I hope listeners will support the music as much as the team has.”

“Working on this album project with NIDZ has been an incredible journey filled with passion, creativity, and growth. From crafting the first melodies to perfecting the final mix, every step was a collaborative effort driven by a shared vision. It’s been inspiring to witness his raw talent evolve into something powerful and authentic. This project is more than music—it’s a reflection of hard work, heart, and a story that deserves to be heard. I’m excited to see how it resonates with listeners and can’t wait to share it with the world!” says Tima Reece & Kurt Herman

The inspiration for “Higher Ground” comes from NIDZ’s personal experiences, channeling raw emotion into a relatable anthem. With its dynamic beats and smooth, Drake-inspired vocal style, the track stands out in the Afro-influenced electronic genre.

NIDZ’s music is more than just catchy melodies—it’s a journey of self-discovery and emotional liberation. “I want listeners to feel comfort in knowing it’s okay to put their emotions first and make tough decisions for their own well-being,” he shares.

Recorded and produced entirely at Kurt and Tima’s home studio, “Higher Ground” is a testament to the power of collaboration and creative synergy.

More info about NIDZ

A South African artist, NIDZ brings a fresh and authentic voice to the music scene. His stage name, derived from his childhood nickname “Nids,” reflects the edgy, contemporary vibe that defines his artistry.

At just 19, NIDZ has already cultivated a distinctive sound influenced by global icons like Black Coffee, The Weeknd, and Drake. His musical journey began unexpectedly—what started as a reluctant participation in choir evolved into a passion for singing and songwriting, nurtured by supportive parents and skilled mentors.

NIDZ’s music explores themes of love, acceptance, and emotional freedom, blending personal experiences with universally relatable messages. “Love seems to be the basis of all great songs,” he notes, drawing inspiration from his own relationships and life lessons.

With formal training in vocals and instruments, along with experience in school bands, NIDZ combines technical skill with raw emotion to create music that resonates deeply. His genre-blending style—merging Afrobeat’s rhythmic vitality with Afrotech’s innovative energy—sets him apart as a rising star.

Looking ahead, NIDZ envisions a future where his music reaches a global audience. “I hope to become a household name, with songs that people of all ages recognize.”
