What’s on DSTV in June 2025?

If you’re looking for something new to watch this June, DStv and Showmax have you covered with a wide range of local and international entertainment.

Here’s a round-up of the biggest new shows, series, and specials to stream or watch live this month.

What’s on DSTV in June 2025?

1. Nigerian Idol Season 10 (Sundays at 20:00 on Africa Magic and Showmax)

The search for Nigeria’s next breakout star is in full swing. Nigerian Idol S10 has reached its top 10 contestants, and the live shows are heating up every Sunday evening.

With standout performances of hits like CKay’s Love Nwantiti, special guest appearances (including D’banj), and weekly eliminations, the countdown to the grand finale in July is on.

2. Landman Season 1 (Mondays at 21:00 on M-Net)

This gritty oil drama from Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan stars Billy Bob Thornton and Demi Moore. Set in the West Texas oilfields, Landman is a modern tale of power, wealth, and environmental consequences.

With an 8.2/10 IMDb rating and a second season already confirmed, it’s one of the most-watched shows of 2025.

3. Trixie Motel: Drag Me Home (Tuesdays at 21:00 on TLC)

Drag queen Trixie Mattel and partner David Silver renovate their new Los Angeles home in this fun, fabulous reality series. Expect laughs, drama, and plenty of glam, with guest stars like Orville Peck and Lisa Vanderpump.

4. Survivor USA Season 47 (Thursdays at 18:00 on M-Net)

Back in Fiji for its 15th season there, Survivor returns with a fresh batch of castaways, including media personalities and former beauty queens, all vying for the $1 million prize. The stakes, as always, are high.

5. Battlefields South Africa with John Robbie (Fridays at 21:05 on History)

A powerful docuseries exploring South Africa’s historic military conflicts. Joined by well-known local figures, John Robbie unpacks the stories of Isandlwana, Spionkop, and Delville Wood with fresh insights.

6. Gladiator II (Sunday, 8 June at 20:05 on M-Net)

Ridley Scott returns with the long-awaited sequel. Gladiator II stars Paul Mescal and Denzel Washington in a tale of vengeance and legacy.

It’s already earned multiple nominations and is one of the biggest box office hits of 2024. The original Gladiator is also available to stream on Showmax.

7. Top Gear Australia (Fridays at 20:00 on BBC Brit)

The iconic motoring show gets an Aussie makeover with new hosts, epic road trips, and over-the-top challenges. Think caravans, jungle treks, and budget car chaos.

8. Ocean with David Attenborough (Friday, 13 June at 20:30 on National Geographic)

At 99 years old, Sir David Attenborough returns to explore the world’s oceans in this stunning documentary that’s earned a 100% critics’ rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

9. Shaka iLembe Season 2 (Sundays at 20:00 on Mzansi Magic)

The epic historical drama continues as Shaka claims his rightful place as king. With award-winning performances, international acclaim, and top-tier production, Shaka iLembe is a must-watch local success story.

10. The Masked Singer UK Season 6 (Sundays at 19:00 on BBC Brit)

The guessing game returns with outrageous costumes, celebrity voices, and a new panelist, Maya Jama. Can you figure out who’s behind the mask before the big reveals?

11. Chasing Flavor (Sundays at 16:05 on Food Network)

Chef Carla Hall traces the surprising global roots of American comfort food in this educational and entertaining food-travel series that’s perfect for the whole family.

12. Sê Jou Sê (Sundays at 19:00 on kykNET&kie)

Host Aden Thomas tackles some of South Africa’s most pressing social issues, from gang violence to elderly abuse, in this hard-hitting Afrikaans talk show.

13. Underdogs (Saturdays at 18:00 on National Geographic Wild)

Ryan Reynolds narrates this wild and witty nature docuseries spotlighting animals that don’t usually get the limelight. Expect glow-in-the-dark grubs, bizarre behaviour, and a theme song by Green Day.

14. Onthul: Trump Tornado Tref Suid-Afrika (Sunday, 22 June at 20:00 on kykNET)

This investigative special unpacks Donald Trump’s surprising connection to South Africa, focusing on refugee policies, Afrikaner nationalism, and his controversial popularity in the region.

15. A Feast of Finals (Supersport channels – Channels 201–204 on DSTv)
