“Escape from Paradise” is a sonic testament to the adage: too much of a good thing. The essence of the song lies in the idea that even within the confines of paradise, an unrelenting desire for escape can take hold. This electrifying anthem embraces chaos and shuns not just the mundane but the gloriously comfortable. Every escape is a new beginning.
The sound of “Escape from Paradise” is expansive and open. Driven by acoustic guitar strumming and an unyielding drum beat the song weaves and guides us through scenes from a metaphorical paradise turned caged limbo. Synthesizers sparkle on the horizon and Yum Yuck’s croon takes delight in the beauty and the pain, the sunrise and the sunset.
“Escape From Paradise” is part of a double song drop that also includes B Side song Antidote. The artist’s songs are uplifting, sensual and dissolving and feel like the perfect stimulus for a headphone journey down memory lane or a top-down road trip into the sunset.
