Zebra have released a brand new single entitled “Taxi Love”. Recently the Pretoria-based Indie Band broke the internet when they embarked on a mission to gain more Instagram followers.
They undertook to keep streaming live on Instagram until they reached 2 000 followers (doing live busking and all sorts of fun challenges). This grabbed the attention of 5FM presenter Nick Hamman, who called Zebra and put them live on the spot on the afternoon drive show.
When Nick asked if the lads can play anything live, they stopped the vehicle and jammed the track “Taxi Love” live next to the road. Not only did Zebra get more than the planned 2 000 followers (within minutes), but the response to the song was absolutely overwhelming (with requests for the track streaming in for days).

Being a new track, this song is not available on the debut EP by Zebra (which was released back in March), so the lads got into Gemini AD Studios and recorded “Taxi Love”.
The music & lyrics of the song were written by Siphe Mashigo, Wildre van Deventer & Nacho Steez (Justin Swartz). “Taxi Love” was recorded, mixed & mastered by Alec Surridge (at Gemini AD Studios).
I have to admit that this is a lekker tune. I’m looking forward to enjoying the live version of this song. Zebra always gets the party started and this track has the ability to do just that.
