On the 25th of August I made my Fort Schanskop at the Voortrekker Monument for another edition of Park Acoustics. It was a day filled with glorious Pretoria sunshine, lots of booze (mostly white wine to be exact) and some amazing tunes. It was awesome meeting up with a whole bunch of friends and enjoying the day.

Here’s my experience of this edition of Park Acoustics

Andra, Aidan Martin, The Howlin’ Shibanski (featuring members of the Black Cat Bones and Feed the Wolf), Albert Frost and Dan Patlansky blew the capacity capital city crowd away with their awesome sounds. Seeing Dan Patlansky jamming with Albert Frost for the second time in my life was definitely one of the highlights on the day and of 2013 so far. Check out the photos that I took of both their sets below:

Needless to say if you missed out on the last edition of Park Acoustics you missed some great music and a great party. If you haven’t been to one of these awesome Pretoria Sunday outings that happens once a month make sure you check it out sometime.

The next edition of Park Acoustics will feature no less than 4 stages and will be held on the 29th of September 2013. Music lovers can look forward to performances by Bateleur, Nomidic Orchestra, Jeremy Loops, Kidofdoom, Desmond & the Tutus, Last Dinosaurs (from Australia), The George, Julian Redpath, Le Voyage, Gad De Combes, Some Grow Young, Kid Robot, Hawkword, Blunt B (also from Australia), Christian Tiger School, Candice Heyns, Michael Lesar, Veranda Panda and PH Fat and comedy sets from Hannes Brummer, Francois van As and Dusty Rich. More event info at this link.

Early bird tickets have already sold out for this event so make sure that you buy your General Admission tickets @ R150 on the Park Acoustics website now before you have to fork out R200 for a ticket at the gate on the day. Don’t miss out on the awesomeness, you will kick yourself if you do.
