Park Acoustics 30 June 2013: A Photo Album

Yesterday I made my way to Park Acoustics at Fort Schanskop in the Voortrekker Monument nature reserve. It was a fun filled day packed with awesome tunes from Die Skynmaagde, Late Night Fox, The Brother Moves On, The Black Cat Bones and Koos Kombuis. 2,000 people enjoyed themselves to max and enjoyed a very lovely sunny winter’s day in Pretoria.

Here are my 2 cents on this edition of Park Acoustics

For the fifth time this year Park Acoustics was sold out at the Fort Schanskop venue. Sadly more than 400 people had to be turned away after tickets were sold out at 12 noon already. It just goes to show that live music is alive and well in the Capital City.

I was particularly impressed by Die Skynmaagde – they kick-started the day’s proceedings with their awesome and unique lyrics and fairly chilled out acoustic vibe. Both Late Night Fox and The Brother Moves On played awesome sets and set the mood before the Black Cat Bones and Koos Kombuis completely stole the show.

It was particularly awesome having a mini STRAB festival reunion with “Bitches Moet Weet” gang and Joan and Suzette – and also great enjoying Jack Daniel’s honey shots with my good friend Letitia and her friends Letitia and Manielle.  Here are some photos that I took of the Black Cat Bones and Koos Kombuis on the day
