Multi-platinum artist Da Mabusa returns with his fourth studio album, Ivududu – a project that seamlessly blends Dance and Amapiano rhythms with his signature soulful production. The result is a vibrant and uplifting body of work that celebrates cultural depth while embracing modern sonic textures.

The album’s title originates from the Xhosa word for the Acme siren whistle – a symbol of energy, renewal, and spirit. The concept, inspired by a dream, represents Da Mabusa’s creative awakening and his ongoing mission to fuse ancestral influence with contemporary soundscapes.

Ivududu features an impressive roster of collaborators, including Anzo, Noex, SoulQue, Sabza Womqulo, Ama Grootman, and DJ Kayd Boizen. Together, they deliver a collection of tracks that balance heartfelt vocals with infectious rhythms and spiritual undertones.

The focus single, “Ungigcine,” captures the essence of the album – feel-good piano grooves, bright steel drum melodies, and an irresistible dance energy that embodies joy and connection.

Da Mabusa is continuing a Streak of Success

Following the success of Corrections and First Lesson – which collectively surpassed five million streams – Da Mabusa continues to redefine the independent South African soundscape. Ivududu stands as a testament to his growth as both an artist and visionary label owner, solidifying his reputation for authenticity and innovation.

More info about Da Mabusa

Multi-platinum selling artist Johan Sifiso Sithebe, better known as Da Mabusa, is a South African singer, composer, and label owner from Kwamhlanga, Mpumalanga. His musical journey began in 2007 as a choir member before he founded his own choir in 2019.

Da Mabusa’s breakthrough came in 2022 with “Umama Owangizalayo,” a heartfelt anthem that went multi-platinum and established him as a powerful new voice in the scene. He followed with the Izipho EP and “Syeke,” while also founding his own label, Major Role Music.

Over the years, he has collaborated with artists including Shebeshxt, Paige & Sdala B, Lungelo Hlongwane, Eemoh, Rayvanny, and Nutty O. His platinum-selling hits “Umama Owangizalayo 2.0 Piano Remix” and “Ithuba” further cemented his place among South Africa’s top performers.

In 2024, Da Mabusa released two acclaimed albums – Corrections and First Lesson – both earning critical praise and millions of streams. Now, in 2025, he returns stronger than ever with Ivududu, featuring a stellar line-up that blends talent, heart, and spiritual rhythm.

Nominated for the Afrime Ghana Music Awards and the SATMA Awards in 2023, Da Mabusa continues to shine as one of South Africa’s most dynamic and consistent musical forces.
