Born Johan Sifiso Sithebe in Kwamhlanga, Mpumalanga, DaMabusa is a multi-platinum selling singer, composer, and record label owner.
His music journey began in a local choir in 2007, and by 2019 he had formed his own – sharpening both his artistry and leadership.
DaMabusa’s breakthrough came in 2022 with “Umama Owangizalayo”, a heartfelt debut single that went multi-platinum.
He followed it with the Izipho EP and launched his own label, becoming a trailblazing independent artist. Under his imprint, tracks like “Umama Owangizalayo 2.0” and “Ithuba” also reached platinum status.
His collaborations span both local and international stars, including Shebeshxt, Paige & Sdala B, Eemoh, Rayvanny, and Nutty O. He has shared stages with icons like Makhadzi, Master KG, and Young Stunna, and earned nominations for the Afrime Ghana Awards and SATMA Awards in 2023.
