Following its successful launch to market on 2 September 2025, Discover Sport™ has announced a dynamic new three-year partnership with Tennis South Africa (TSA).

The collaboration makes Discover Sport™ the official streaming partner of TSA, bringing South Africa’s premier tennis competitions into the spotlight for fans nationwide and abroad.

Discover Sport

Expanding Access and Visibility for Tennis

At its core, the partnership is about access, visibility, and impact. Discover Sport™ is dedicated to amplifying underrepresented sporting disciplines, giving athletes, federations, and fans more opportunities to grow and connect.

By teaming up with TSA, the platform ensures that South African tennis gains consistent coverage, with a full calendar of tournaments live-streamed and distributed to mainstream broadcasters for maximum reach.

A New Era for South African Tennis

Launched in early 2025, Discover Sport™ has quickly become a trusted partner for sports bodies looking to expand their reach. The platform provides tools and resources for federations to originate live coverage, showcase their athletes, and inspire the next generation of fans.

“Our role has always been clear: we are here to enable,” says Stephen Watson, Founder of Discover Sport™. “Tennis South Africa has incredible athletes and competitions, and our purpose is to give them the stage to connect with more fans and make tennis more visible than ever before. This partnership is a step towards creating a more inclusive sporting landscape in South Africa and beyond.”

For TSA, the partnership marks a milestone in the sport’s growth. Beyond elite competitions, coverage will also profile athletes, tell their stories, and build a stronger following for tennis across all communities.

Anthony Moruthane, General Manager of TSA, adds:
“This partnership with Discover Sport™ marks a new era for South African tennis. It’s not just about broadcasting matches, it’s about inspiring communities, telling players’ stories, and building a legacy of visibility and opportunity for generations to come.”

What Fans Can Expect from Discover Sport™

As part of the partnership, Discover Sport™ and TSA will co-create a Monthly Magazine Show, offering highlights, player profiles, and exclusive behind-the-scenes content. This production aims to be the cornerstone of tennis storytelling in South Africa, bringing fans closer to the players they love.

Discover Sport™ will also provide live streaming and production support for TSA’s premier competitions, including:

  • ITF World Tennis Tour Events
  • Davis Cup (World Cup of Tennis)
  • Junior National Championships and Junior Masters
  • Rising Star Tennis National School Championships
  • National Club Championships

The upcoming Davis Cup tie between South Africa and Morocco (13–14 September 2025) will serve as the partnership’s flagship moment. Fans will be able to follow every serve and rally live on Discover Sport™, with coverage shared to broadcasters and distributed through the International Tennis Federation (ITF).

Beyond the Court: Discover Sport’s™ Purpose

Discover Sport™ is more than just a streaming service – it’s a sports social media platform designed to give back. Athletes can be discovered, supported, and connected with fans and sponsors, while audiences enjoy a user-friendly interface that makes following their favourite players easier than ever.

Hailed as the “app that gives back,” the platform is steadily growing its impact across professional and grassroots sport, ensuring commercial opportunities flow back to athletes and federations.
