Discover Sport, the dedicated social media app for sports, is taking the game global with its latest partnership: a collaboration with Padel Time TV that will bring one of the world’s fastest-growing sports to audiences across 120 countries.
The move cements Discover Sport as a central hub for fans, athletes, and federations, offering seamless access to high-quality live and on-demand sports content.

Padel: From European Niche to Global Phenomenon
Padel has grown exponentially over the past decade. With an estimated 35 million players worldwide and a global market worth around €2 billion, the sport has evolved from a niche European pastime into a true international sensation.
Stephen Watson, Founder of Discover Sport, explains: “Padel is a global connector. It’s quick to learn, social by nature, mixed-gender and intergenerational. We’ve seen these qualities drive incredible growth, especially in Spain, Argentina, Italy, and increasingly South Africa. We want to give everyone front row seats to this excitement.”
Spain remains the sport’s epicentre, producing elite players and hosting flagship competitions. Italy has also emerged as a major European hub, while Argentina continues to influence padel’s competitive style. South Africa, boosted by international events and rising participation, is now recognised as one of padel’s most promising emerging markets.

A Platform That Bridges Borders
Discover Sport has established itself as a reliable digital platform that lowers barriers to entry, supports rights-holders, and connects fans to sports that often don’t get airtime on traditional channels. The company has previously built strong engagement in tennis (TSA) and badminton (Badminton World Federation), now extending that expertise to padel.
“Whether it’s tennis, badminton, or now padel, our role is to remain an inclusive global aggregator that helps sport cross borders,” says Watson.
From South Africa to the World
Since its launch in mid-2025, Discover Sport has expanded to over 30 countries, building a network of fans, athletes, federations, and content partners. At its core, the platform is designed to connect people to sport, elevate sporting communities, and foster global engagement.
“Every new partnership is measured against this mission, and the Padel Time TV collaboration clearly shows that our platform is reshaping how sport is discovered, shared, and experienced worldwide,” adds Watson.
The service went live on Friday, 6 March. Fans can access live streaming content on the Discover Sport platform at discoversport.com.
