A staggering R5.5 million was raised at Jacaranda FM’s annual Good Morning Angels Golf Day, which was recently held at the picturesque Irene Country Club.
The Golf successfully generated these crucial funds to support South Africans facing medical emergencies, extreme hardship, and life-changing circumstances.

This is what happens when South Africa’s No. 1 Feel-Good Station brings its community together for a day of sport, fun, and giving back.
The Golf Day was a Day of Sport, Fun, and Fundraising
The Good Morning Angels Golf Day has become a flagship event on Jacaranda FM’s annual calendar. This year, approximately 80 companies transformed the golf course, bowls field, padel courts, and sponsor village into a massive hub of creativity and charity.
The on-course activations were nothing short of spectacular. Sabat and Midas took home the prize for the best hole activation, featuring high-energy superbike tricks and live entertainment that raised an additional R20,000 through a raffle. Meanwhile, Skill Set Solutions took the top prize for best participation in the Sponsor Village.
The fundraising efforts continued into the evening. Comedian Nicholas Goliath hosted a lively charity auction that brought in a massive R650,000, while a night-golf nearest-to-the-pin competition added another R80,000 to the tally. Guests were also treated to incredible live performances from Stephanie Baartman and Demi-Lee Moore.
Good Morning Angels: Changing Lives Through Community Support
While the entertainment and activations made for a memorable day, the true focus remained on giving the Good Morning Angels Fund the means to help more people. For years, the initiative has stepped in to assist ordinary South Africans navigating extraordinary circumstances—from devastating medical diagnoses to sudden financial ruin.
Vuyani Dombo, Managing Director of Jacaranda FM, noted that the R5.5 million represents much more than just a number; it represents hope, dignity, and tangible support for people going through their darkest moments.
Martin Bester, host of Breakfast With Martin Bester, echoed these sentiments, expressing his awe at the generosity of the community.
“The creativity of the activations this year was also next level. I stood at some of those holes and honestly got goosebumps,” Bester shared. “Ultimately, though, all the fun and entertainment comes back to one thing: raising money to help people.”
Every Wednesday morning, listeners hear stories of individuals who desperately need a helping hand. Thanks to the incredible success of this year’s Golf Day, the Good Morning Angels team can continue to answer those calls, reminding South Africans that they are never alone.
