Following another hugely successful edition that brought together thousands of music lovers, multiple award-winning South African DJ, entrepreneur, and music producer Oskido is excited to announce that the festival is back!
Bigger than ever before, Big Day Out 2026 promises more music, more vibes, and more unforgettable moments. After listening to overwhelming feedback from festivalgoers, Oskido is introducing a major first: Big Day Out 2026 will feature two stages this year.
More Music, Two Stages
The addition of a second stage will allow for an even larger lineup and a wider celebration of South Africa’s diverse musical landscape, spanning kwaito, house, amapiano, hip hop, and more.
“The support for Big Day Out has been incredible from day one,” says Oskido. “Every year we listen carefully to what our audience wants, and the message was clear last year—give us more music. That’s exactly what we’re delivering in 2026 with an additional stage.”
Reinforcing Big Day Out’s commitment to showcasing the diversity of local music, this year’s festival will also celebrate Durban’s rich dance-music legacy and its defining influence on Mzansi’s music culture over the past three decades.
Leading the charge on the MAIN STAGE is an impressive collection of legends and dance-floor favourites, including B.O.P, Mdu, Liquideep, Trompies, Oskido, DJ Cleo, Glen Lewis, DJ Fresh, DJ Mbuso, Dj Ganyani, Nokwazi, Durban’s Finest, DJ Cndo and DJs at Work.
From the infectious kwaito rhythms that defined an era to the soulful house anthems that continue to fill dance floors, the lineup brings together artists whose music has become part of SA’s collective soundtrack.
But the experience doesn’t stop at the Main Stage.
Introducing the new NAMBA STAGE which will offer a deeper journey into the sounds of deep and soulful house, featuring Sir LSG & DJ SoulDiva, Dark Horse, D’General, Mr Shane, Chymamusique, Sculptured Music and Bobsta B2B Sabz.
Designed to complement the Main Stage experience, this new addition will create space for dedicated house music lovers to discover, reconnect and lose themselves in the grooves that have shaped the country’s enduring house music culture.
The team today also announces the formal partnership with media giant Kaya959, bringing an exciting new dimension to Oskido’s Big Day Out in 2026. Combining the power of one of the country’s leading radio stations with an event that celebrates the country’s rich musical heritage and enduring love for dance music.
Through this collaboration, the event aims to connect with an even wider audience, bringing fans closer to the music, the artists and the culture that have shaped generations. It’s a natural partnership rooted in a shared passion for music, community and creating unforgettable experiences.

Set in the heart of Johannesburg on the picturesque grounds of Huddle Park in Linksfield, Big Day Out has become one of South Africa’s most anticipated lifestyle events.
