Iconic London clubbing institution Fabric is officially returning to South Africa in January 2027. Following the overwhelming success of their previous local events, they are once again teaming up with Sub Sahara to deliver two massive electronic music showcases in Johannesburg and Cape Town.
Johannesburg: An Underground Warehouse Experience
The weekend kicks off on Friday, 15 January 2027, with a full Fabric takeover at Carfax in Johannesburg. Situated in Newtown – one of the city’s most historic cultural districts – Carfax has been a staple of the underground music scene since 1995.
The raw, industrial warehouse setting is the perfect backdrop for a lineup featuring Daniel Avery, Desiree, HAAi, and Midland, alongside a roster of local artists still to be announced.
Cape Town: Club Culture Meets Historic Architecture
The following night, Saturday, 16 January 2027, the party moves to Cape Town’s iconic Castle of Good Hope. The 17th-century fort will be completely transformed by Fabric’s touring visual show, featuring large-scale projection mapping that covers the castle walls and courtyards in shifting light, color, and motion.
With last year’s event completely selling out, fans can expect another packed house as Daniel Avery, HAAi, Heidi, and Midland take over the decks.

Meet the International Headliners at Fabric
The January 2027 tour brings an exceptional roster of international electronic music talent to South African shores, including several highly anticipated debuts:
Daniel Avery: Making his South African debut, he is best known for his acclaimed album “Drone Logic” and his 2012 mix “FabricLIVE 66”. “My first time in South Africa and what better way than with the Fabric family,” he says.
Desiree: Born and raised in South Africa but now a staple in London’s house and techno scene, she makes a rare and special homecoming appearance at the Johannesburg show.
HAAi: Known for moving effortlessly between house, techno, breaks, and experimental sounds, this standout UK artist makes her South African debut across both nights.
Heidi: A pioneering figure in house and techno and a long-time part of the Fabric story. Renowned globally for her Jackathon parties and BBC Radio 1 work, she will bring her signature energy to the Cape Town show.
Midland: Another Fabric favorite making his South African debut, he brings his eclectic approach to house, techno, and electro, having previously delivered the stellar “FabricLIVE 94”.
