Disney+ has revealed its exciting spring line-up for South Africa, promising an unbeatable mix of new series, returning favourites, and blockbuster films.

This announcement comes on the heels of major launches such as FX’s sci-fi hit Alien: Earth, the fifth season of comedy favourite Only Murders in the Building, Disney’s live-action Lilo & Stitch, and Marvel Studios’ high-octane Thunderbolts.

Must-Watch Disney+ Originals

Among the standout premieres is All’s Fair, the latest legal drama from Ryan Murphy. Starring Kim Kardashian, Naomi Watts, Niecy Nash-Betts, Teyana Taylor, Matthew Noszka, Sarah Paulson, and Glenn Close, the series follows a formidable team of divorce attorneys navigating messy breakups and courtroom intrigue.

Fans can also look forward to the highly anticipated return of Percy Jackson and The Olympians, where Percy and his friends venture into the Sea of Monsters in search of the Golden Fleece.

Other highlights arriving this spring include:

  • Season three of reality sensation The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives
  • 20th Century Studios’ new feature film Swiped

Local Originals on Disney+

Disney+ is also bolstering its local content slate. Caroline Flack: Search for the Truth explores the final months of the popular TV presenter’s life, while Sneaker Wars: Adidas V. Puma takes viewers inside the decades-long rivalry between the two sportswear titans.

Across Europe, audiences will get gripping crime dramas and adaptations such as Poland’s The Breslau Murders (12 September), France’s Lost Station Girls (October), and Sweden’s To Cook a Bear (15 October). Comedy-drama fans can enjoy Call My Agent Berlin (12 September) and Spain’s quirky six-part series Fate (8 October).

From Korea, Tempest (10 September) offers a star-studded spy thriller about a former diplomat caught in a deadly political conspiracy.

General Entertainment Expands

Disney+ continues to strengthen its general entertainment catalogue with titles like:

  • All’s Fair (November 2025)
  • Chad Powers (30 September)
  • Murdaugh: Death in the Family (15 October)
  • A Very Jonas Christmas Movie (14 November), starring Kevin, Joe, and Nick Jonas

Returning favourites include Percy Jackson and The Olympians (season two, 10 December), Futurama (season 13, 16 September), High Potential (season two, 17 September), and The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives (season three, 13 November).

Lucasfilm Highlights

Star Wars fans can gear up for LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy – Pieces of the Past (19 September). Featuring an all-star voice cast including Gaten Matarazzo, Tony Revolori, Billy Dee Williams, Anthony Daniels, and a special guest appearance by Mark Hamill, the four-part sequel promises Force-fuelled adventures and plenty of LEGO humour.

Disney & Pixar Magic

Disney and Pixar’s Elio is set to take audiences on a cosmic journey, as a boy with a vivid imagination suddenly finds himself in the middle of an intergalactic council and must discover who he’s truly meant to be.

20th Century Studios Premiere

Swiped (19 September), starring Lily James, tells the inspiring true story of Whitney Wolfe, the visionary behind the dating app Bumble. The feature film follows her determination to challenge a male-dominated tech industry and become one of the youngest self-made billionaires.

Disney+ Spring Offer

To celebrate the season, Disney+ is offering new and returning subscribers in South Africa access to its Premium plan for just R49 per month for three months (a saving of R330). After that, the plan auto-renews at R159 per month. This limited-time promotion runs until 27 September 2025.

With six powerhouse brands – Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, and Star—Disney+ delivers everything from Original series like FX’s The Bear and Alien: Earth to cinematic favourites such as Lilo & Stitch and Thunderbolts.

Parental controls ensure a safe experience for all ages, with content filters and PIN-protected profiles.
