If you need a dramatic, thought-provoking binge, Disney+ is delivering two heavy-hitters in April 2026:
The Testaments (8 April, 3-Episode Launch)
Based on Margaret Atwood’s acclaimed sequel to The Handmaid’s Tale, The Testaments is a bold, dramatic coming-of-age story set in Gilead. It follows two young teens – the pious Agnes and the new arrival Daisy – whose bond becomes a catalyst for change as they navigate Aunt Lydia’s brutal preparatory school.

Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord (6 April, 2 Episodes Weekly)
Set after the events of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Darth Maul is back! He plots to rebuild his criminal syndicate on a planet untouched by the Empire, crossing paths with a disillusioned young Jedi Padawan he believes can be his apprentice.
