Vodkafest, a premiere Vodka festival will be taking place on the 25 August 2018 at the Hillcrest Quarry in Durbanville and Rockerfellas are one of the acts on the line-up.
I had a chat to Vox from Rockerfellas about Vodkafest and a few other things. This is what he had to say:
How did the Rockerfellas first get together as a band?
We met in the desert at Afrika Burn!
Tell us a bit about the vibe on stage
It’s a debauchery circus.
What are your favourite rock classics to perform?
Anything from Spinal Tap or Steel Panther…
How do you guys prepare for a gig?
We start drinking Vodka 24 hours before the show and continue to do so throughout our performance.
What is the craziest thing that ever happened on stage?
A fist fight broke out between two dwarfs (little people I think is the correct term nowadays) that we had as part of our ensemble.
What is the best feedback that you ever got from a fan?
“You’re shit and I never want to see you again!”
What can people at Vodkafest expect from the Rockerfellas set?
Something VERY different.
The Russians have short slogans to toast their Vodka shots, can you give us a unique Rockerfellas` toast?
It’s pretty simple: two fingers in the air.
What are the band`s plans for the next few months?
Some of us will be checking in to the various addiction clinics here in Cape Town, one is having penis reduction surgery and one is planning to go into politics or a life of crime or maybe both.
I’d like to thank Vox and Rockerfellas for this interview and I wish them all of the best with their set at Vodkafest this weekend and their future musical adventures.
Vodkafest attendees will experience a multitude of Vodka tasting stations where they can taste various types of Vodka from well-known and influential brands as well as some local craft brands.
Everyone that arrives between 12h00 and 18h30 will receive 5 free tasting coupons. The tasting stations will close at 19h00 and all drinks for the rest of the night must then be purchased at the bar that will be open throughout the festival. Festival attendees can get one FREE Red Bull at VodkaFest if they arrive between 12h00 and 13h00.
Don`t Poke The Bear, The Hills, Das Kapital, Kilospascal, Khord and Kimmy C are also on the line-up for this festival. Vodkafest tickets are priced at R250 and are available via Computicket.
