The name Khazimula, derived from the isiZulu word meaning “to shine” or “radiate light”, perfectly encapsulates Carol-Ann’s belief that every person carries something unique and valuable.
The release also ties into ‘Love It Together’, a wider movement created by Carol-Ann aimed at fostering inclusion and positive conversations.
This invitation is summed up in the song’s central phrase, ‘Joburg City Loves You’, which shifts the focus from simply singing about the city to giving its people a voice within the story.
