Emerging conscious folk-pop artist Lu’Ah has officially released her debut EP From The Ether, marking a significant milestone in her artistic journey.
Following the release of her first single “Burnt” in October, the project showcases her steady growth and a clear sense of creative identity.
A Sound Rooted in Authenticity
At a time when much of the music landscape is leaning heavily into digital production and AI-driven tools, Lu’Ah is taking a different route. Her music is grounded in authenticity, with a strong focus on organic sound and emotional depth.
The EP’s lead single, “Pretending”, stands out not only for its sound but also for its intention. Recorded in 432Hz – often associated with a more natural, grounding frequency — the track aims to create a listening experience that feels both immersive and transformative.
“Pretending” Blends Emotion and Intention
Musically, “Pretending” sits at the intersection of ethereal folk, acoustic pop, and alternative R&B. The track was recorded live and entirely in analogue, reinforcing Lu’Ah’s commitment to preserving the raw, unfiltered energy of her sound.
Lyrically, the song explores themes of self-awareness, emotional release, and personal growth. It reflects on past relationships while also opening the door to future possibilities, encouraging listeners to let go of what no longer serves them.
With lines like “I’ve got no time to waste, on all this pretending,” the message is clear: honesty, both with oneself and others, is essential for growth.
Bridging Worlds Through Sound
With From The Ether, Lu’Ah positions herself as an artist who connects different spaces – blending spiritual introspection with accessible indie-pop sensibilities.
Her music speaks to both the introspective listener seeking deeper meaning and the casual fan drawn to atmospheric, emotionally rich soundscapes. The result is a body of work that feels both personal and universally relatable.
A Promising Beginning for Lu’Ah
As a debut project, From The Ether introduces Lu’Ah as a distinctive new voice in the alternative pop space. With a clear artistic vision and a focus on authenticity, she invites listeners to step into a world that is as reflective as it is transformative.
For those willing to slow down and truly listen, this EP offers more than just music – it’s an experience.
