It’s a sad week for SA Music. Paul Wilson (the drummer of Southern Gypsey Queen) died on Wednesday afternoon from heart attack. He was 29 years old. He was one of the nicest people that I’ve ever met. He just had the ability to make anyone smile. My condolences to his brother Gareth, Tammy and the rest of the Wilson family. He will be dearly missed.
Paulie said something to me at Oppikoppi last year. I can’t remember the exact words, but it was something like “I was so stressed out when we started playing our set in front of that crowd, but when I saw you in the pit taking photos I knew everything was going to be allright”. I will never forget that. MK posted this video tribute to Paul Wilson earlier this week.
RIP Paul Wilson
