South African folk artist Seth Tabatznik has released his latest single, “Flow River Flow”, via Moth Music (Mother Of The Heart). The reflective new track serves as the first single from his forthcoming third album and follows the release of acclaimed electronic producer Deep Forest’s remix of “Shining For Love” on 17 July 2026.
The release of “Flow River Flow” follows a busy period for Seth Tabatznik, whose sophomore album Awakening Embers arrived earlier this year to praise from NOTION Magazine.
Singles from the album, including “Shining For Love” and “Choose To Be Alive”, have also attracted attention from tastemakers such as CLASH Magazine and EARMILK.
Despite only beginning to release music professionally in 2024, Seth Tabatznik has already surpassed 400,000 streams across digital platforms. His growing reputation has also extended to the live circuit, with sold-out performances at Boschendal Estate in Cape Town and Green Note in London’s Camden district.

For Seth Tabatznik, “Flow River Flow” represents a deeply personal chapter in his songwriting journey. He explains that the track took almost as long to write and record as his previous album, largely because it required him to become more vulnerable and open about his own experiences.
The song was initially inspired by the mountain where he lives and the way he felt called to the land. As the writing developed, however, Seth Tabatznik realised that the mountain had become a reflection of himself, leading him to make the song about both his home and his own personal journey.
That journey includes a period of illness that forced him to reconsider his direction in life. Rather than seeing it as a complete departure from his previous path, Seth Tabatznik describes the experience as a redirection towards greater humility, empathy and a slower pace of life.
Today, he says he feels more rooted in himself and less focused on achievement, choosing instead to approach life with greater curiosity and express those experiences through music.
